Re: US Open
When I was paying for Sky ten years ago I knew all all the golfers and could recognise any of their swings from 200 yards.

Now I'm asking who the fuck are Brooks Koepka and Kevin Chappell? I've genuinely never heard of them yet people are tipping them.
If golf doesn't come to its senses and put more coverage on free to air tv then in the long term it's going to die a slow death.

'rough looks absolutely brutal,'

They've cut it back mate. The cry-baby pros felt that, despite the mile-wide fairways, it was unfair and would probably make them look bad in front of their sponsors and lead to a winning score worse than 20 under par.

So now they are playing a course easier than the one the members play. Go figure, as our transatlantic cousins might say.

Was bored. Not really been following the golf recently.

1 of them wins.

Re: US Open
Saw that today, surf. As Rory said, the fairways are 50 yards wide so if they can't hit that they might as well pack up.

Re: US Open
my top five (all backed).............

Adam Scott
Dustin Johnson
David Lingmerth
Jason Dufner
Louise Oosthuizen

Re: US Open
Scott is trending.

Had him in The Masters but for missing about 10 putts from 6 feet he would have walked it.

Hopefully this week.

Takashi Miike 11:07 Wed Jun 14
Re: US Open
just went through various stats and he come out on top, Johnson not far behind. Lingmerth was the surprise at 200/1. can't stand Dufner but he has got some form back recently and Oosthuizenhas been playing well. Day was a close 6th :.)

Pro sports has gone gay, mate.

Footballers can't play twice in a week; baseball pitchers can't throw more than 95 pitches; tennis players eat dinner between games; motor-racers refuse to race if there are too many corners; Beechers Brook is now about 2'6'' high; athletes can't inject stuff from dead people into themselves and golfers can't cope with a bit of rough. And cyclists can't take massive cocktails of drugs.

I dunno what the world is coming too.
